About

Built by someone who watched the gap form.

Candor is built by Jesse Hollar.

My background is in insurance and claims. That is the side of the table where you see, up close, how a firm's process holds up when someone finally examines it. Documentation that seemed like overhead becomes the whole ballgame the moment a question gets asked.

When AI swept into legal work, I kept noticing the same missing piece. Firms were adopting powerful tools with no real way to account for how they were used. It was not carelessness. There simply was not anything built for it. That is the gap Candor fills. It is not another AI that writes your brief. It is the layer around whatever AI you already use, keeping an honest, durable record of it.

I am building it close to the ground, with a small group of Florida firms using it on real matters and telling me what is useful and what is noise. The goal is software that earns a quiet place in a firm's routine and produces something genuinely valuable the day someone asks to see it.

A few things I want to be plain about. Candor is a software company, not a law firm. I am not an attorney, and Candor does not give legal advice or decide whether anyone is compliant. It produces the record. The professional judgment stays with the professionals.

If any of this resonates, or if you think I have some part of it wrong, I would like to hear from you. Write to jesse@candor.legal.
